SPECIAL BOE MEETING...MINUTES |
The Cairo Board of Education held a Special Meeting on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 5 p.m. "for the purpose of Superintendent's Contract." Below are the unofficial minutes...
I. Call to Order - 5:00 p.m.
II. Roll Call - All were present (although a couple were a couple/three minutes late.)
III. Recognition and Comments from Employees and Public - None.
IV. Approval of Agenda - Motion made, seconded, and passed.
V. Closed Session - The BOE voted to enter closed session at 5:02 p.m. The BOE voted to exit closed session at 5:57 p.m. (The Superintendent was in and out a couple of times. Loud voices were heard a couple of times.)
VI. Requiring Action/Decisions By Board of Education - None.
(As you may recall, the meeting was supposed to last 30 minutes...with the BOE and CAESP previously scheduled to negotiate at 5:30 p.m. When the meeting ran long, IEA Uniserv Director Jim Tammen and the CAESP Bargaining Team joined us on the hard-azzed steps. Guess we found out where the District's priorities lie.)
VII. Other - None
VIII. Adjourn - A motion was made, seconded, and passed to adjourn at 5:58 p.m.
FOOTNOTE: Unlike last time, there was no mention of or scheduling of another Special Meeting...
