CAT Tracks for January 12, 2012 SPECIAL BOE MEETING...AGENDA

The Cairo Board of Education held a special meeting on January 12, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. Below are the "minutes"...

I. Call to Order - 5:30 p.m.

II. Roll Call - Coleman, Moore, Burris, and Harris (who chaired the meeting in the absence of McBride) were present.

III. Recognition and Comments from Employees and Public - None.

IV. Motion made, seconded, and passed to approved the agenda.

V. Open Session - None.

VI. Closed Session - The BOE voted to enter closed session at 5:33 p.m. The BOE voted to exit closed session at 7:08 p.m.

VII. Requiring Action/Decisions By Board of Education - None.

VIII. Other - None.

IX. Adjourn - Motion made, seconded, and passed to adjourn at 7:08 p.m.

Now...

It's off to the Cavalier Club to PARTY, PARTY, PARTY!!!

Had told people in a meeting yesterday that the good news was that I had seen the last of "Dawg"...

...then get slapped in the face with the above.

Since I had celebratory plans, I was really, really dismayed.

Instead of gathering with others in good cheer, Madam President and I would be cooling our fuzzy butts on the steps at the Central Office late into the night.

But, then...

...WHEW!!!

Rumor has it:

A farewell party for "Dawg" tomorrow night...set to begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Cavalier Club.

So...should be a short BOE meeting!!!
