CAIRO: THE MOVIE...REMINDER

After SRO showings in Carbondale and Herrin (and a screening in Paducah last night), Between Two Rivers makes it to ground zero this afternoon (Wednesday, February 29th at 4:30 p.m. in the CJSHS cafeteria.)

In one of my earlier posts, I said that I would post "purchasing information" when it became available.

I actually did contact the makers of the film through their website and was given an e-mail address through which I could order the DVD for cost ($15) plus $3 for shipping. (The purchase required the use of PayPal.)

However...

...this just in.

One of my former students (who attended the Carbondale screening and with whom I had the pleasure of sitting) also attended the Herrin showing. He informs me that the DVD was available for purchase at the conclusion of the Herrin showing for $15 cash. (No checks or credit cards accepted.)

So...

Assuming their traveling supply has not run out, locals desiring a copy of "Between Two Rivers" could obtain same this afternoon after its Cairo showing.

That's all...

...see you at the movies!

CAT Tracks Editor's Note:

What is it they say about the word "ass-u-me"?

Alas...

The DVDs were sold out before the Cairo showing.

In fact, a friend who attended the Paducah showing on Tuesday night says the DVD was unavailable there also.

I e-mailed one of the makers of the documentary and he sent his apologies...that his partner had taken as many as he could carry (from their home base of Manchester, England.) I asked for a physical mailing address for those unable or unwilling to use PayPal...his response being that their location in England made acceptance of U.S."cheques" problematic. He did indicate that when his partner returned, they would look into using a U.S. distributor of some sort.

So, until then...

If you want a copy of "Between Two Rivers", you will have to contact Nick Jordan at mail@betweentworivers.net.
