CAT Tracks for February 7, 2012
CORRECTION |
Ain't gonna call it a "retraction" because that would involve taking too much "credit" for erroneous information.
There was no "Superintendent Interview" tonight...there will be none tomorrow.
At tonight's Parent-Staff Organization (PSO) meeting at CJSHS, Artie McBride (President of the Cairo Board of Education) announced that the District was inviting five of the six candidates interviewed on January 28th to a second round on February 22nd at 5:30 p.m. in the Cairo Junior/Senior High School cafeteria. It is my understanding (but what do I know?) that the public will be allowed to participate.
As for the three meetings "scheduled" for this week...
...I did not make that up.
I received an e-mail from a District official on the day after last month's regular BOE meeting. Knowing that the dates had not been announced in open session, I figured they had been discussed and agreed upon in closed session (to which this official was privy.)
Apparently between the time of his reporting and this week, the BOE changed its mind...changed its plan.
No "correction" e-mail was distributed to the recipients of the original e-mail...at least not this CAT.
POSTSCRIPT:
At least "Plan B" addresses my earlier concern about the community and CAT being excluded from the process this time around.
CAT Tracks Editor's Note:
So, assuming that this plan doesn't change between now and then...
Come one, come all!
Join us for the new, EXPANDED VERSION of "Let's Make A Deal!"
Will the next Superintendent of Cairo School District Number One be behind...
Door Number 1, Door Number 2, Door Number 3, Door Number 4, or Door Number 5?
