CAT Tracks for March 1, 2012
EARLY OSCAR BUZZ

As you movie buffs know, last Sunday was Oscar's big night...

...a night that saw a black-and-white silent movie (The Artist) rule (the first to do so since 1929.)

THAT fact caused a friend to jokingly e-mail that maybe it was a sign...

After all, "CAT Journal: Friday the 13th" a silent film!

Well, one thing became immediately clear...I can't take a joke.

Yep, back to the computer, surfing the Internet...once again sorting through hundreds of cat images, searcing for Oscar-worthy pictures.

The timing was right...start the publicity campaign for the 2013 Academy Awards, CAT Journal's chance to shine! (Hmmm...The Shining..."Heeeeere's, Kitteh!" I'm sorry, I can't help myself...my catty mind is always churning.)

Anyway...

...another CAT epic?

"Not!"

Oh, I dabbled at a script, interviewed several worthy actors and actresses, but it just didn't flow.

It wasn't ready for a Monday showing...or Tuesday.

Wednesday, I gave it another shot, but I had lost my passion...and the timing had grown stale.

So...

Upon returning home last night following the showing of "Between Two Rivers" - a REAL movie, I made the final decision, I pulled the plug...put my effort into the vault.

Let sleeping cats and dogs lie.

DISCLAIMER

Should my prediction come true...

...should "he who shall remain nameless" return to the scene of his crimes come July 1st.

Well, let's just say that this old CAT won't have to start from scratch.

All I gotta do is open the vault, dust off the footage (pawage?), and with a fresh anger-fueled passion complete "Ron's Unfinished Movie".

In fact...

From my work over the past week, I already spotted the purrfect re-release date for "CAT Journal":

July 13, Friday the 13th!

That said...

During this past week, I had the good fortune of meeting Otis.

If you have not had the pleasure, Otis is a cat...famous for handicapping ("pawdicapping" just doesn't flow like "purrfect" does it?)

Anyway, Otis is famous for handicapping Oscar-nominated movies and correctly picking the winner.

My personal struggle with writer's block should not deny you the treat that is Otis.

So, without further delay...

Ladies and Gentlemen:

If you still need proof that CATs know their movies, let me introduce to you:

The one and only, the remarkable Otis:

Otis the Oscar Cat Predicts the Best Picture Winner for 2012

Two things...

Well, there is one other thing...a comforting thing.

After visiting the link above, I discovered that...

...I am not alone!

Whew...
