Former Volunteer Firefighters Plead Guilty to Arson

CAIRO -- Two former volunteer firefighters have pleaded guilty to arson.
Richard Pitcher, 19, of Cairo, and David Patrick, 23, of Arlington, Kentucky, entered guilty pleas Wednesday in Alexander County Court. They were each charged with two counts of arson in connection with fires in Cairo in January and April of last year.
Authorities said the two men were members of the volunteer Cairo Auxiliary Fire Department.
An official with the Alexander County Circuit Clerk's Office tells News 3 a sentencing hearing for Patrick is set for June 20. Pitcher's sentencing is scheduled for June 27.
