I don't know the word-count of the article below, but the picture on the right just blew me away!
I've never been fond of the sight of ground beef/chuck, but that snaky mess on the right...

As the members of the Cairo Retired Teachers Lunch Bunch can attest...
...I have not ordered my perennial cheeseburger and fries since I posted a previous article on "pink slime", opting for the large chef salad instead.
Almost came back to beef last week, but chickened out in the end.
With this "Ode to Pink Slime", ground beef/chuck may never cross my mind or lips again!
PPS: Just watched a Season 4 Criminal Minds episode this week where a pair of serial killers disposed of the bodies by feeding them to pigs, so pork is not too appealing right now.
Guess that leaves the proverbial staple...chicken. Since frog legs, snakes and any other nasty mess you can think of are always described as "tastes like chicken", might as well go for the real thing!
What for dinner?
