CAIRO RIVERWALL MURAL PROJECT

The background for the first mural has been painted.

The location is at 14th Street and Ohio:

Updates will be posted as progress is made.

CAT Tracks Editor's Note:

Should you venture forth for a closer look...

BEWARE!

The road leading to the mural site is not the finest example of street maintenance in Cairo...

...existing potholes that could do serious damage to your vehicle if not navigated with caution.

I could be optimistic and hope for corrective efforts, but...

This is a section of roadway (heavily used by 18-wheelers) that leads to the parking lot of one of Cairo's more attractive new developments - the Delta Center.

Since the Delta Center has been in existence for several years and the (already bad) road has steadily deteriorated, I, for one, am not going to hold my breath.

May someone prove me wrong...
