Speaking of turtles...
The National Education Association has played the duck-and-cover game for several years now, trying to appease its enemies and gain friends, accomplishing neither. In fact, the NEA has disillusioned long-time supporters like myself.
Just as President Obama has (maybe) learned in his dealings with the Republican Party, sometimes you just have to stand up for what you believe in...that right makes might.
The "evil" teachers' unions need to rear their so-called ugly heads, stick their necks out, and stop the madness that is the modern education reform movement!
