CAT Tracks for October 14, 2012 BOIL WATER ORDER ISSUED FOR CAIRO

Just received a telephone call from Illinois-American Water Company...

...upgrading their order of last night to conserve water (due to the low river level; the Ohio is currently at seven feet.)

The tap water pressure dropped noticeably this morning; now the boil water order until further notice. (A roiling boil of at least five minutes is recommended.)

The telephone message indicated that bottled water is being distributed at the Cairo Fire Department for residents in need.
