TEACHERS, UNIONS & OBAMA |
The gist of the article below is that come election day, teachers and union members should turn the other cheek, hold their collective noses, and vote for Barack Obama for President of the United States of America.
It's the old:
"Better the devil you know rather than the one you don't."
Sad...

Obama Finding Teacher Support Secure, If Tepid
CAT Tracks Editor's Note:
After shocking myself by watching all four debates, I've got to admit the argument is rational.
After "Barry" possibly blew the election by being totally disconnected in the first debate...
...and "Smokin' Joe Biden" grinned all over himself while dismantling Paul Ryan (aka The Grim Reaper)...
...the final two debates sealed the deal.
As for Barack Obama...
Mitt Romney is right...what you saw is what you (will most likely) get! Unlike Romney (who changes direction upon demand, being not only "right" - i.e. conservative - but "far right" when it suits him), President Obama can probably be counted on to "stay the course". The only question being: "Will four more years of Obama's policies be enough time to finally erase the George W. Bush debacle?
The United States economy after almost four years of Obama's care is still reeling, not rocking. However, it was eight years of Republican reign and ruin that put us in the deep dark hole of the "Great Recession".
Should we give Obama another term to rectify what "no-regulation Republicans" wrought, or should we elect Richie Rich Romney...a pro-business President committed to those same failed policies?
Damn...
...don't just hold your nose, be sure to close your eyes too!
As for foreign policy...
...well, the final debate settled that "question"!
Mitt Romney spent almost the whole 90 minutes endorsing the foreign policy of President Barack Obama. Having been burned on two previous attempts to take advantage of the assassination of the United States Ambassador to Libya, Mitt eschewed a "third time is the charm" approach for a "me too, Mr. President" refrain. With the polls still showing Mitt gaining ground following President Obama's "no show" performance in the first debate, Mitt's handlers obviously opted for a "better safe than sorry" approach.
Still, one has to wonder...
...one has to worry.
Mitt and his tendency to go whichever way the right-wing Republicans blow. Keeping in mind that it was their kind, under the "leadership" of George W. Bush (aka Dick Cheney Jr.), who opted to invade Iraq on a lie.
Things that make you go:
"Hmmm..."
Time...
...blessedly, less than two more weeks now...
...will tell!
Final Observations:
Postscript:
If the Illinois Contitutional Amendment passes by one vote...
...you will have to stand in line to kick my butt.
I'll be first!
