If you aren't from around here, or if it's been awhile...

...this is the site of the former "Mor for Less" (originally an IGA) grocery store. Located at 30th and Sycamore, the building has been closed for years.

It went through a renovation while closed that included adding large letters to the left-front wall announcing a "Port of Cairo"...which failed to materialize.

For months, rumors circulated that the building would be reopening as a complex of stores, including a Subway. Needless to say, the rumors were met by pessimism.
