...our current governor, following in the footsteps of his infamous predecessors...Republican George Ryan and Democrat Rod Blagojevich.

Maybe this explains why Governor Quinn has been so hell-bent on closing Illinois prisons, especially those in SOUTHERN Illinois!
I mean...
If there is a crowding problem in Illinois prisons, maybe Pat's lawyers can argue at his sentencing that nonviolent liars should not be incarcerated.
And...
...if that argument should fail, God forbid that Pat be stuck in a cell in SOUTHERN Illinois, an area of the state that he so dearly loves to hate.
Dear Pat:
Don't worry about the impact on the state's budget of reopening Tamms to house you! From what I read in the local media, we shall find volunteers galore...what might be termed "budget neutral"!
And, yes, here at the newly christened Tamms Motel 666...
We'll leave a light on for you!
