I totally agree with you, John...

...but, the NEA and the AFT have spent the last few years caving in to the attacks of so-called education reformers, selling out the very union protections that you say are needed, in a failed attempt to win friends and influence enemies.

So, yes, let's try to sell unionization to those without, but, let's clean up our own houses too.

Maybe it's time for a new "new unionism", one that goes back to basics...

...the protection of its dues-paying members, not going along to get along.
