...like math tests and prayer in the public schools...

...will always exist...

...whenever the teacher's back is turned...

...the traditional raised middle finger salute...

...or the more direct index finger and thumb gun simulation.

I'm sorry...

With the flood of prescriptive teaching techniques forced upon educators - all aimed at boosting standardized test scores by a point or three - is it any wonder that veteran teachers are retiring earlier and new teachers are bailing faster?

Ya know...

Frankie and The King et al had the right prescription for teaching, one which I employed for 39 years...
