YET ANOTHER ATTACK ON UNIONS |
The "One Percent"...
...wants to eliminate the last vestiges of opposition.
For them, controlling half of the nation's wealth is not enough...
From the Washington Examiner
Supreme Court 'sleeper' case on union dues has big impact on organized labor
CAT Tracks Editor's Note:
As for the wannabe "independent contractors"...
...wanting their cake and eat it too.
They are currently benefiting in salary and benefits from the work, the "numbers", of the union.
A few think they can do better (usually because of "friends in high places". The thing these "favored folks" never realize is that their "friends" may not always be large and in charge and they may wish they had a union to represent them...too late.)
Most just want to take the increased salary and benefits and stiff the union the dues money that enabled said gains. (Most of these "types" are the same ones that rant and rave about the "welfare state"...people getting "a free ride". And just, pray tell, what are they asking for, looking for?)
Sadly...
As the article indicates, the United States Supreme Court is under the control of the Republican/Conservative/Big Business interests, so there is a good chance they will get their way.
It's definitely an every man/woman for himself/herself, a dog eat dog world.
So much for Pope Francis' outrage at the growing gap between the rich and the poor.
So much for honoring the memory of Martin Luther King Jr.
