ZERO PLAYTIME RULES |
Well, since 'Zero Tolerance' didn't work, ruffling the feathers of the Attorney General of the United States and the Secretary of Educa..., uh, well, damn near everything...
...why not give 'Zero Rules' a try?
From the Huffington Post
When This New Zealand School Got Rid Of Playtime Rules, It Actually Got Safer
CAT Tracks Editor's Note:
I'll tell you why...
...because this is the US of A, that's why!
Hell, in the US of Illinois, you can't even (legally) drive down the road and talk on a cell phone...
...while strapped to the seat!
Life in the Land of Lincoln...
...bound and gagged!
Of course, it could be worse...
The Parliament of the United Kingdom is trying to pass legislation that would ban smoking in cars carrying children.
Illinois, are you listening?
And, when you get there Illinois, go whole hog...
...ban smoking in houses containing children also!
Whew...
Okay, okay, just had to get that out of my system. Yes, I'm still pis...uh, perturbed with the "Happy New Year" driving-while-talking on cell-phone ban in Illinois.
Especially chaffing is seeing the police drive around talking on their cell phones...
...and the city worker who waved at me with one hand while holding his cell phone to his ear with the other...
...and the woman driving down the main drag...
...taking a "drag" on a cigarette while talking on her cell phone.
Damn, can it be that the National Rifle Association was right?
That when the government takes away our cell phones...
...only "criminals" will have cell phones?
Okay, double whew!
Back to the article on 'Zero Playtime Rules'...
Would it work in the US of A?
As one of the articles 'linked' indicated: "Probably not"...
...because in the United States, school districts would get their butts sued!
