CSD REGULAR BOE MEETING |
The Cairo Board of Education held its Regular Meeting on October 17th at 6 p.m.
Below is the agenda and some very brief comments...
DISCLAIMER: This old gray CAT ran off and left his hearing aids back at the cave. So, what you see is what I heard (or thought I heard.) If anyone spots any errors in my account, feel free to notify me and I will make the corrections.
All BOE members were present.
Examples of Excellence - A report by two of Janet Rose's 6th-Grade Students about a fund-raising activity (pies and ice cream) to raise money for the next installment of the River Wall Murals. The activity raised $275. The plan is to start the mural next week and finish it in the Spring. The topic of the next panel will be "Explorers".
No employees or public asked to be recognized.
Under Agenda Item #4(7), the Superintendent reported that the Treasurer's Report for the past month (like the previous two months) was unavailable due to a glitch in the SDS computer accounting system. The company programmers just this afternoon completed their fix and all three month's of Treasurer's Reports will be available at a brief Special BOE Meeting to be held on November 5th prior to a scheduled BOE Training Session.

Agenda Item #9 went as advertised (with the negotiations session scheduled for November 4th.)
The BOE voted to adjourn at 7:17 p.m.
