Lawmakers question whether excluding insurer will cost tax-payers more
CAT Tracks Editor's Note:
Two sentences that I did not understand:
- According to the Urbana-based insurer, a review of documents shows the company bid as much as 124 percent lower than the four winners chosen to provide Medicare Advantage plans to seniors. (My math skills have eroded significantly, but how do you bid 124% lower? Somebody 'splain this to me.)
- Although retirees will be able to keep their current providers, Rose said the looming switch has caused panic among his constituents. (How does one "keep their current providers" if they are not among the four choices. According to what I have read, if you don't pick one of those, you forfeit your health insurance. I had HealthLink and it's not an option. More 'splainin' please!)
After my health ordeal of recent months, I can attest to the FACT...my TRIP health coverage was GREAT!
I won't say that I am "scared beyond belief", but I am certainly stressed...
