Okay, that was unfair, more piling on teachers.

I mean...

...the students will be gone (in four more days!), beyond your influence (if they ever are.)

(Please don't tell me you are one of those sadistic teachers who save their biggest homework assignment for Winter or Spring break. You must not have gotten the memo about Santa's naughty list!)

So, more to the point...

Hey, parents, leave those kids alone! (We don't have to worry about grandparents, they know better. Their "job one" is to spoil the grandkids, and smile as they leave you with them!)

Hey, State Superintendent of Education Chris Koch, leave those kids alone!

What part of "break" do you not understand?

As for using "baking" to teach math...
...specifically "doubling a recipe" to teach fractions.
May I suggest "halving a recipe" instead!
