Left teaching to fish, so he could make money. A sad commentary on how "valued" is the profession that makes all other professions possible.

‘Duck Dynasty’s’ Phil Robertson is a former teacher with a master’s degree

I have to confess to not having watched one minute of Duck Dynasty...
...not being into "Reality TV".
After reading Mr. Robertson's interview, I could venture the opinion (contrary to his denials and credentials) that he is as dumb as he looks.
However, upon further reflection, it's more likely that Phil is crazy as a fox. The ratings for the show will now soar, and if A&E should cancel the show, other networks will be standing in line to snatch them up!
Bigotry, like sex, sells!
