Subtract Teachers, Add Pupils: Math of Today’s Jammed Schools

Look at the positive side:

• Since teachers are the problem, less teachers should be addition by subtraction! Those "good teachers" who are left (I mean, surely the districts kept the "good teachers" and got rid of the dead weight!) will reach more students!!! Isn't that what Bill Gates has been advising all along?!

• As for the "dead weight" bad teachers? Well, hell, they will get their jobs back when the "good teachers" suddenly, inexplicably go bad (when their prior high test scores fall because of the unmanageable classrooms bestowed unto them!

On occasion, the "education reformers" have bluntly advocated for "disruption", for "churning", saying that the status quo needed to be shaken, not stirred.

If that is the case, then for "education reformers"...
