HOME WORKS!

Time to ease you back into the "school thing"...

As for the exclamation mark in the title, belongs to them, not me.

Oh, I don't have a problem with home visits...

...as long as it's truly voluntary and teachers get paid for their extra time on the clock. It could even be a way for a teacher to "merit (extra) pay".

But, none of this: "Home visits will count 25% of a teacher's annual evaluation...

...in addition to the 50% already in place for student test scores."

Some teachers have done this for years, so if one is so inclined, their efforts can now be "rewarded"...

Teachers find home visits help in the classroom

CAT Tracks Editor's Note:

Are home visits the "silver bullet" to what (allegedly) ails public education?

No...

...by their own assertion, it's the "secret sauce"!

:-)

POSTSCRIPT:

Next teacher scandal...

...teachers claiming to make "home visits" who actually "visit" their own homes, spend time working with their own kids.

Under oath, the accused "cheating teacher" will testify: "I was spending more time at school and at a second job than at my own home. I know it was wrong, but I was just trying to make ends meet..." before dissolving into tears.

If I am on the jury, there will be no conviction!
