CAT Tracks Editor's Note:

A lesson for active public employees...

...it's time to rethink your bargaining strategy!

Instead of accepting less money in the short run than is paid to workers in the private sector...

...in return for the promise of a livable retirement check...

...it may be time to convert those "guaranteed pensions" into immediate gratification.

Sure, you may have to eat cat food in your golden years...

...sure, you may have to freeze in the winter and roast in the summer...

...but, it appears that that is what awaits you anyway!

At least with a bigger paycheck, you won't have to work a second job to make ends meet during the "living years".

Hell, you might even be able to afford to take a vacation, enjoy time with your family, and build memories to sustain you during the years of destitution that await you after the politicians get through stripping you of your dignity.

After all, as my favorite aunt was fond of saying...

The Golden Years have come at last,
I cannot see, I cannot pee
I cannot chew, I cannot screw
My memory shrinks, my hearing stinks,
No sense of smell, I look like hell,
My body's drooping, got trouble pooping
The Golden Years have come at last,
The Golden Years can kiss my ass.
