THE EARTH ALSO RISES |
As if we needed further proof...
...of the failure of public education in the United States:
A new survey reveals that 1 in 4 Americans thinks that the sun goes around the earth.

1 In 4 Americans Thinks The Sun Goes Around The Earth, Survey Says
CAT Tracks Editor's Note:
Ya know, these kinds of survey...
...purporting to show how dumb we are...
...just proves to this old saber-toothed CAT that the guide-on-the-siders are just flat (not speaking of the earth here) wrong when they condemn us sage-on-the-stagers.
I mean...
How many centuries did it take "man" to discover/accept that the earth revolved around the sun?
Yet the "guiders" want teachers to step down from their stages and wait until their students discover the answers on their own?
Excuse me, teachers and students don't have the luxury of waiting...
...got those high-stakes tests looming every Spring!
But, hey, did you note the GOOD NEWS?
That the European Union folks and the Chinese did worse than US!
Okay, okay, DISCLAIMER alert...
...that the supporting evidence for that assertion was based on older surveys.
I mean...
That means that those generally incompetent public school teachers in the United States have had more time to stymie the learning of sweet innocent American children.
If they updated the survey for the Europeans and the Chinese, I'm sure that they have leap-frogged US by now.
Face it...
...just as sure as dinosaurs and humans roamed the earth together, we suck!
Further proof that teachers devolved from "those who can, do".
