ANOTHER 'WELL, DUH' STUDY |
From Education Week
Study Links Teacher 'Grit' with Effectiveness, Retention
CAT Tracks Editor's Note:
The results of this study were so predictable and unsensational...
I'm actually wondering if it's an early April Fool's gag.
I mean...
The researchers:
Claire Robertson-Kraft and Angela Duckworth...
...a Robertson and a Duck(worth)?
If their study becomes 'The Bible' for producing effective teachers, will proponents dub it "Duck Dynasty"?
For sure, there are a lot of quacks out there calling themselves education reformers.
As for the study "findings":
Teachers who are willing to repeatedly bang their heads against the walls of ignorance and apathy...
...are more likely to succeed and stay?
Bears repeating:
Well, duh!
