Cairo, Illinois...Home Page & Comprehensive Plan

CAT Tracks Editor's Note:

Wandering through cyberspace at 4 a.m., I stumbled across the City of Cairo's website, complete with a "Comprehensive Plan" (or at least an excerpt from a book on what a "Comprehensive Plan" is suppose to be.

My perusal failed to unearth a date other than 2014.

The scrolling stories from The Cairo Citizen were dated (as in old) from February and March, so I will ass-u-me that it was not created with the $750,000 grant to develop Cairo...

...more likely created as part of the application process.

But, hey, maybe the New Orleans consultants can use this as a springboard for their effort (saving some of that $750,000.) It would also give them a platform to display the "what I like and dislike about Cairo" pictures taken with the disposable cameras available at the Cairo Public Library.
