THE DEVIL SWOOPED DOWN TO CAIRO |
Hell's Bells!
Received word from the trenches that there has been a sighting of He Who Shall Remain Nameless!
In his "honor" and with apologies to The Charlie Daniels Band...
...our song of the day:
CAT you grab your lesson plans and teach your students hard.
'Cos hell's broke loose in Cairo and the devil deals the cards.
And if you win you get this shiny apple made of gold.
But if you lose, the devil gets your soul.
The devil stepped to the front of class and he said: "I'll start this show."
And fire flew from his fingertips as he took the students in tow.
And he unfurled his mighty wings and he made an evil hiss.
Then a band of demons joined in and it sounded something like this.
When the devil finished, CAT said: "Well you're pretty good ol' son.
"But sit down in that chair, right there, and let me show you how its done."
Fire in the classroom, run kids, run.
The devil's in the house, thinks he's the one
Children in the classroom, showin' what they know.
"Teacher, is the devil right?"
"No, child, no."
The devil bowed his head because he knew that he'd been beat.
He laid that golden apple on the ground at CAT's feet.
CAT said: "Devil just come on back if you ever want to try again.
"cause I told you once, you son of a gun, I'm the best there's ever been."
And he played fire in the classroom, run kids, run.
The devil's in the house, thinks he's the one.
Children in the classroom, now they're showin' what they know.
"Teacher, is the devil right?"
"No, child, no."
