STUDENT TESTING

When is enough enough?

Easy answer!

Back in the day...

...before George W. Bush and Barack Obama decided to take over public education and turn it over to big business as a revenue stream when their free-wheeling housing market and banking schemes brought about the Great Recession.

The 1% may be small in number, but they have very deep pockets and can afford the best politicians that money can buy.

Now that their regular standard bearers, the Republicans, have gained control of Congress, maybe the will do away with those pesky regulations that curtailed the housing/banking industry, restore their normal revenue source, and cut loose the public schools.

Sadly, too many people in control of education have already drunk the kool-aid and will keep the testing monster in place, rather than admit they were wrong.

Plus, why would you give up your new revenue source when you can have both?!

Bears repeating:

As for the education kool-aid drinkers, and why they will stay the course, the title of the song from which that verse is taken says it all:

Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word
