DOES THE SENIORITY SYSTEM SUCK? |
Seniority or not seniority, that is the question in the education world today.
Education "reformers" say seniority sucks (not their word choice, not even mine, but the reason for for its selection will become apparent in a moment).
"Reformers" allege that seniority is a contrivance of the evil teachers' unions that protects "bad teachers"...
...and "bad teachers" are what ails our "failing" public education system.
So...
In the world of "reformsters", it follows that the elimination of seniority would save the system, thereby saving the children.

Look, nobody has to tell me that the way this is working sucks. Sucks with a giant suckness that could out-suck the suck of the biggest darkest suckingest black hole in the universe. But as much as this sucks, every alternative proposed by reformsters sucks even more.
