I'm sorry, it just ain't worth it.

I mean, if it works for them, fine...

...just don't anoint it as another damn silver bullet...

...that invariably turn out to be blanks when fired at "failing" schools elsewhere.

You Cairo old-timers remember the "blessings" that Modern Red Schoolhouse was going to bestow on CSD #1? (Just googled them and apparently they are no more...or they changed their name to protect the guilty.)

Or those Mesa, AZ, folks who preached unto us their wondrous achievement-raising ways...

...before they got busted for cheating? (And THAT was before NCLB was a gleam in Dubya's eye.)

Sigh...

So, my "catty" just ain't in the mood at 3:30 a.m., at least on this morning.

Hey, it's "Good Friday".

You still active teachers know what I'm talkin' about...

...any Friday without school is good!

Hell, it's GREAT!

...that reminds me of a song, a song I was going to use in my Rauner Unhinged post, the post about him calling the IL Supreme Court Justices part of a "corrupt system".

Only, upon further reflection, it didn't fit (although there was the judge and his seeing eye dog.)

Well, it fits here even less, but I always liked the song, and after reading the article above, a little comic relief seems in order.
