NO JUSTICE IN ATLANTA |
From The Washington Post
Nine Atlanta educators in test-cheating case are sentenced to prison
CAT Tracks Editor's Note:
Really...
...for giving/changing answers on standardized tests?
The loss of license, of livelihood, wasn't enough!
Seems to me that the person who needs to be tested...
...is Fulton County Superior Court Judge Jerry Baxter.
He has obviously lost all sense of perspective.
Let the appeals begin...
...if nothing else, this sentence appears to violate the 8th Amendment to the United States Constitution which prohibits "cruel and unusual punishment".
The punishment handed down by Judge Baxter certainly does not fit the crime.
"...seven years in prison and 13 years on probation, plus 2,000 hours of community service and a $25,000 fine"
