Too Much Information, Please!
The Brave New World of social media.
Forget 1984 and "big brother is watching" (although most assuredly he is.)
It's 2015 and grandma is watching!
From The Washington Post
Go ahead, get grandma out of your feed
CAT Tracks Editor's Note:
Bears repeating...
Beware of friending, tweeting, whatevering students!
Anytime you text, tweet, or post, you should assume that it will become public!
Before you hit "Send", ask yourself: "What would the student's parent, the principal, the superintendent, the Board of Education, and the police (or my grandma) think about it?"
And, unlike back in the day of face-to-face communications when accusations by students would be "he said, she said", today's social media provides a transcript of what was said.
Foretold is forewarned...
...and, contrary to what the anti-union crusaders would have you believe, your union may not be able to pull your butt out of the fire!
BEWARE!
