Meet the New Common Core

...especially posts pertaining to education topics.

Hey, chalk it up to empathy...

...my mind rebels at anything education right now.

Give me stories about river wall murals, traffic accidents, arrests, cleaning up the Ohio River...

...anything but education!

So...

...why in the heck would I post a story about the effing Common Core???

Bears repeating:

What the standards are or what they are called makes no difference whatsoever...

...it's how they are used, abused!

The Common Core, with its "enforcer", the draconian high-stakes standardized tests, have destroyed public education as I knew it.

Get rid of the tests, and the name won't matter. Teachers can go back to doing what they, the trained professionals, think is best for the students sitting in front of them...

...which may vary from class to class, from day to day.
