Applicants struggle on new teacher certification exams

CAT Tracks Editor's Note:

This is an article about Missouri, but you can bet that the same situation will be found throughout the United States.

And, for the education "reformers", this is good news!

The elite school districts can keep hiring the cream of the crop...

...the "failing" school districts (typically districts with large numbers of at-risk students of color mired in poverty) will hire the remainder under provisional certificates. The districts will get cheap teachers for two years, get to/have to fire them after they fail the certification test, NEXT! A revolving door where nobody gets seniority and nobody earns retirement benefits, thus solving the pension crisis.

Hmmm...

...ya think this might have been the plan all along?

The students?

Contrary to the smoke screen about caring, about reforms being "for the children"...

...for the vast majority of "reformers", it's always been about making money!
