CODE-A-PILLAR |
From The Verge
Fisher-Price made a caterpillar that teaches coding basics to preschoolers
CAT Tracks Editor's Note:
Hey, I'm for it!
If K-12 students can have iPads...
...why shouldn't preschoolers have access to the world of hi-tech?
Maybe Fisher-Price has a grant program like Apple where the district could get them for free...
...but, if not, buy them!
I mean, I don't know how many preschoolers the district has at any one time, but it couldn't be more than 40...
...times $50 bucks each equals $2,000. The District still has about $3.5 million dollars in the bank. And, you've gotta admit it, they are soooooo cute!
Or...
...the Oris B. Hastings Charitable Foundation has been very generous in supporting CSD #1 endeavors, so maybe it would foot the bill.
At least (unlike with iPads) we wouldn't have to worry about students using Code-a-Pillars to access porn sites!
Hmmm...
You don't think...
...that some ingenious entrepreneur (or hacking high school student) would come up with an X-rated pack that would make our cute, innocent-looking Code-a-Pillar:
Do a little dance, make a little love, get down tonight?
Sigh.
Okay, I guess we'd best leave Code-a-Pillar be...
"Three different expansion packs, which will cost $15 each, give the Code-a-Pillar extra features that you can buy at $15 for a 3-pack."
