Acting education secretary says teachers saved him

If his saviors had been frantically teaching the test for fear of losing their jobs, they probably would not have had the time or the inclination to spend time on a little lost boy.

The operative word in the above puff piece: "'can' reach"...

...no, the underlying fact is that the teachers DID reach little Johnny...

...back in the day BEFORE George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Arne Duncan and, yes, John King Jr. proclaimed public education a failure, proclaimed teachers bigots, and proclaimed their unions evil.
