CAT Tracks Editor's Note:

Ahhh, 'tis the season...

...Thanksgiving this week.

Oh, and how many shopping days until Christmas?

Can you feel the love?

And, sadly, we have a Republican candidate(candidates?) for president who "trumps" all this.

So many people with minds that hate...

..."Christian soldiers", invoking God's will to sanction their words and actions.

There's one thing I've never understood about such "Christians" and I'd like somebody to 'splain it to me.

I simmered through the whole Kim Davis affair (posting only one article), but with my limited religious training, I kept wondering.

Kim and her supporters invoking the fire and brimstone of the Old Testament while condemning their opponents to eternal damnation?

In their Bible study, did they stop at said Old Testament...

...did they not get to the New Testament?

You know, the one that focuses on the person who gives them their chosen name?

Jesus Christ!

Wasn't He all about love and forgiveness?

I mean, when deciding who should be allowed to get married or who should live in, or get out of, a county...

...what would Jesus do?

Bears repeating:

A sign of the times...

...so many people with minds that hate.

God help us!

Historical Footnote:

Sheriff Jolley's invocation of the "silent majority?

"Over the years, I’ve witnessed the silent majority grow and as a true patriot and a Christian, I felt it was time for the silent majority to speak up."

The silent majority?!

It's a scary time indeed when God is not enough of an authority...

...that we have to call upon the immortal words of disgraced former President Richard M. Nixon to justify our actions.

I'd rather call on Tiny Tim:
