Speaking of bridge work, Mississippi river bridge work...

My post this morning about the Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge at Cape reminded me that I had seen one of those roadside construction marquees down by the old Cairo to Missouri bridge (US 60-62 not I-57) about a week ago.

So...

...went that way this afternoon to check it out.

Sure enough:

The U.S. 60-62 "Cairo Bridge" to Missouri (not KY) will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday beginning May 16th and ending on May 26th.

Bears repeating CLOSED during daytime work hours, not the single-lane restriction undergone recently on the KY (Cairo-Wickliffe) bridge.

So, plan accordingly...
