'LET THEM LEAD' |
Got some feedback from a former colleague about the Parent-Teacher Conferences post, having the audacity to disagree with ME!
Sort of...
I say let them lead...tell them to "explain why your folder is empty." (I always sit back and say to myself this should be good!)
Put them on the spot. Hand the folder to the parent and say: "Give them a grade!" The student can lead and explain why the assignments (inside the folder) have their names on them and nothing else.
I say, "Go on, lead!"
Sit back and watch them tap dance!
I stand corrected!
I make them keep folders to document their work as one of my former CHS teachers did. I’ll have to say hats off to her...the folders/portfolios work...cover your rear!
