Illinois Districts Back Rauner Plan To Undo School Mandates

This coming from the same governor who has imposed his own education mandates since taking office.

In his infinite wisdom...

Bruce Almighty believes that students in Illinois don't need Driver's Education and daily physical education. I guess the high incidence of teen driving deaths and obesity were just rumors!?

And...

While Rauner fiddles, state workers can't even count on going to the doctor/hospital without digging into their own pockets...

...and the poor and the elderly watch as their safety net unravels.

All because Governor Rauner is locked in a game of budget chicken with Democrats over his plan to destroy unions so that his rich business buddies can make a few dollars more.

Sadly, too many gullible peons add their voices to Rauner's choir demanding "right-to-work" legislation...

...not realizing that in every case where such legislation in enacted, it simply means that the "winners" (if they actually get a job) get the right to work for lower wages and no job protection.

Be careful what you ask for...

...or what unfunded mandates you want to trade for supporting an assault on a living wage.
