In tonight's meeting it was announced that the Southern Illinoisan will be hosting a community meeting related to its exposé of alleged misdeeds by the Alexander County Housing authority. Pertinent politicians have been invited to attend. The meeting will be held at Cairo Junior/Senior High School on April 17th at 5:30 p.m.

The Board was in Closed Session from 6:21 p.m. until 9:55 p.m.

The BOE then voted:

• To dismiss two first-year probationary teachers.

• To approve the people listed for the various coaching positions, except that they skipped (without comment) "e." Track Coordinator.

• To approve the School Calendar for 2017-2018. (See below.)

There will be a Special Meeting on March 29th at 5:30 p.m. (Actually, there will be a 'Training Session' on March 21st, but there will not be any action taken by the BOE.)

The BOE voted to adjourn at 10:02 p.m.
