CAIRO SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION |
Top secret...
...or does nobody really care?
On March 23rd, there was a passing mention in The Cairo Citizen.
Since then, the candidates for the Century, Egyptian, and Meridian Boards of Education have been published in March 30th edition of The Cairo Citizen and/or the April 3rd edition of Monday's Pub. In fact, both publications contained biographies of the candidates for the Meridian Board of Education.
The election for the Cairo Board of Education? Nada. Not one mention of the candidates, not even how many vacancies.
Driving the mean streets, I have seen a sign boosting the re-election of the four incumbents: Mary Coleman, Brenda Gooden, Sheila Nelson, and Artie McBride.
The only other campaign sign I saw posted was for Rodney Moore.
The April 3rd Edition of Monday's Pub had one paid ad for the Tuesday, April 4th election for Cairo Board of Education:
So, if you are interested and have nothing else to do on Tuesday...
...VOTE!
Hmmm...
...beyond secrecy or apathy, in light of recent election shenanigans, there is another possibility...
...maybe it was the Russians!
