THEY SAY...

...that curiosity killed the cat.

Well, I'm still purring, but the theory is being tested!

As I was driving down Sycamore yesterday, I was distracted:

Zooming in on the pile of rubble to the right...

...it's the former parking lot surface:

If I had taken a selfie, it would have looked like this (closed captioned for the hard of hearing like myself):

I mean...

...tearing up the parking lot at the site of abandoned businesses?

Yes, there was that old song (Big Yellow Taxi) that had lyrics about putting up parking lots:

    They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
With a pink hotel, a boutique
    And a swinging hot spot
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
    'Till it's gone
    They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot

    They took all the trees
And put them in a tree museum
And they charged all the people
A dollar and a half to see 'em
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
    'Till it's gone
    They paved paradise
And they put up a parking lot

So, has somebody decided to reverse the process...

...to remove a parking lot and plant trees...

...and charge all the people a dollar and a half to see 'em?

Hell, one thing Cairo certainly doesn't need is more vegetation!

Okay, joking aside, I'm sure there is a plan here...

...so, somebody, enlighten me, don't let my curiosity be the death of me!

Otherwise, no more CAT Tracks...
