CAT Tracks for October 18, 2017

The Cairo Board of Education held its Rescheduled Regular Meeting on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at 6 p.m.

The agenda is immediately below...

...followed by the 'minutes':

    All members were present.

Dr. Lisa Thomas had "Examples of Excellence" and reported on the highlights of the first quarter at CJSHS.

Superintendent Andrea Evers did the "Informational" section...

...reporting that the District website (which has been 'under construction' for several months) would hopefully be in operation by Thanksgiving, that the District enrollment was 387 (and expected to decrease to the 370s, possibly 360s), among other items.

The BOE voted to enter Closed Session at 6:33 p.m. (The silver lining was that there was NO FOOD on the table!) Sure enough, the BOE voted to exit Closed Session at 7:11 p.m.

Prior to the actionable items, Superintendent Evers announced that the Regular November BOE Meeting would be held a few days earlier, November 13th.

The only action taken by the BOE was to accept the resignation of Larry Wood as Assistant Boys Basketball Coach...

...and to approve the Proposed Athletic Hiring Process.

The BOE voted to adjourn at 7:19 p.m.
