The Cairo Board of Education held its Regular Meeting on Thursday, December 20, 2018, at 6 p.m.

CAT President's Report:
Members present: Nelson, Coleman, Harris, Stubblefield, Moore, and Gooden.
Examples of Excellence given by Dr. Thomas: Reward of McDonald's trip for students with perfect attendance for the month of November. Free dress for students with no write ups for November.
Approved Consent Agenda.
Dinner for faculty and staff is at 3:00 tomorrow.
The BOE voted to enter Closed Session at 6:18 p.m. The BOE voted to exit Closed Session at 9:40 p.m.
Requiring Actions/Decisions By Board of Education:
- Items 1 and 3 were approved.
- Item 2 - No one hired.
- Item 4 - The HVAC proposal was rejected.
- Items 5 and 6 were approved.
- Item 7 - Tabled until January.
- A new Item 8 - The BOE voted to approve a Christmas Bonus of $50 for employees. (See MOU below.)
The BOE voted to adjourn at 9:45 p.m.
