The Cairo Board of Education held its Regular Meeting on Thursday, February 21, at 6 p.m.

CAT President's report:
Present: Coleman, Harris, Stubblefield, Moore, Gooden.
Vice President Vernon Stubblefield conducted the meeting in the absence of President Sheila Nelson. (Nelson entered the meeting during closed session.)
Examples of Excellence: CJHS/CHS will have a parent meeting at 8:30 tomorrow, followed by a Black History program at 9. Elementary students will be attending.
Board approved Consent Agenda.
Informational:
- No figures on repairing roof yet.
- Staffing - expecting 1 special education teacher retirement, 1 aide retirement, and 1 special education teacher on leave.
- Enrollment for district is at 317 total.
- No date set for secretarial contract negotiations.
The BOE voted to enter Closed Session at 7:20 p.m. The BOE voted to exit Closed Session at 10:30 p.m.
Actions:
- Post positions for after school tutoring at Cairo Elementary.
- Put out bids for roof repair over gym.
The BOE voted to adjourn at 10:40 p.m.
