The Cairo Board of Education held its Regular Meeting on Thursday, October 17, 2019, at 6 p.m.
As part of this meeting, the BOE conducted a Public Hearing.

CAT President's Report:
Members present: McAllister, Coleman, Nelson, Gooden. Harris, and Moore.
They are seeking funds to cover roof repairs. No testimony. No action taken.
Adjourned at 6:03.

Dr. Thomas presented the two plaques that Beta Club received at the Leadership Summit in Cape Girardeau, MO.
Informational - Dr Evers said that the tumbling at CES is going well.
Discussion of Truancy incentives by the superintendent.
The BOE voted to enter closed session at 6:13 p.m.
The BOE voted to exit closed session at 8:52 p.m.
Tabled items 2 and 3. No resignations.
Added Item - Locally absorb salary of Hope Green, Truancy Coordinator because they did not get the grant.
The BOE voted to adjourned at 8:56 p.m.
November meeting - Wednesday, November 6th, at the regular time.
