CAT President's Report:

Called to order at 6:30.

Members present: Stubblefield, Coleman, Moore, Gooden, Harris, McAllister.

Moore conducted the meeting in Nelson's absence.

There will be an open house at CES on Thursday, February 27th, at 12:30 p.m. for parents to walk through and see the Black History displays. Refreshments will be provided.

A Black History program will be held at CJSHS next Friday, February 28th, at 9:00 a.m. The Elementary students will be bused to CJSHS on Friday for the program.

The BOE voted to enter closed session at 6:38 p.m.

The BOE voted to exit closed session at 8:25 p.m. (Sheila Nelson arrived during closed session and conducted the remainder of open session.)

Action/Decisions by the BOE:

• No resignations

• Skipped Hirings "(2) a and b".

• Hired Alvin Wiggins as High School head track coach.

• Hired Keosha Engram as Junior High head track coach .

• Afterschool tutoring at CES: Dorice O'Shea, Sarah Garrett, and Tena Harrell.

• Tabled Item (3).

• Item (4) Staffing Needs - Anticipating one Elementary teacher, one K-12 music or art teacher, one high school English teacher.

• Item (5) Nothing.
