Some of the stores listed were long gone before the pictures were taken, some of the stores were not on the 8th Street (between Washington Avenue and Commercial), and some of the stores weren't on 8th street at all.

To be included in the list, the stores had to be in the immediate vicinity of 8th Street, or placed an ad in the CHS yearbook during the mid-to-late 60s.
Did you really think that I remembered all of these names?
If so, I'm still looking to sell a couple of houses...
One is a certified antique - built in 1905. (An original "shotgun house".)

The other house has a brand spanking new roof - only been sprinkled on a couple of times!
